Applying to Join Us
Our pre-school is long established and popular. If your child is under 2 we encourage parents/carers to add their child to our waiting list as soon as possible - once you have made the decision that our pre-school is the one you would like to choose. We accept children on our waiting list from birth!
If your child is over 2, please contact us to see if we have any current vacancies. If we do not then you are welcome to add your name to our waiting list, so that you will be contacted when a place becomes available.
The pre-school waiting list is compiled by our administrator. See the contact section for full details.

Our Admissions Policy
The pre-school offers morning or afternoon sessions, according to specific age bands. Minimum ages for entry to each session are stated below. This is to ensure that appropriate activities are offered for children of a particular age and to ensure that the children mix socially with their peer group.
The intention is that most children spend up to a year in afternoon pre-school, followed by a year in morning pre-school. Places are offered to children on the waiting list according to the following criteria:
- Children must be at least 2 years old by 31st August preceding the current academic year in order to attend afternoon pre-school.
- Children must be at least 3 years old by 31st August preceding the current academic year in order to attend morning pre-school. Only under exceptional circumstances will 3-year-old children be moved up to the morning sessions during the course of the year. This will be at the discretion of the leaders.
- Initially two afternoons per week must be accepted for each child attending afternoon pre-school (minimum of three sessions for morning pre-school)
- Places will be offered to the oldest child on the waiting list first but taking into account "Exceptional Arrangements" as outlined in the Surrey County Council Admissions Policy.
- If a child on the waiting list will have a sibling still attending a session with the pre-school when that child is due to start, then every effort will be made to offer that child a place.
- When/if extra places become available during the year, these will be offered to the existing children by age, after which places will be offered to children on the waiting list by age.

Settling In
During the term before your child is due to start (this will be the summer term if your child will be starting in September) you may like to visit one of our afternoon sessions with your child. This will give staff the chance to meet your child and introduce themselves. It will also show your child where they will be coming and experience a typical session. We ask that you please contact one of our leaders to arrange a suitable time.
For the welfare of your child, we have a settling in procedure whereby new children start at intervals during the first few weeks of the autumn term.
Parents are able to stay with their child, if wished, to aid settling in.
