Our Committee

As a charitable incorporated organisation, the management of St Martin's Pre-School is carried out by an elected Management Committee, made up of volunteer parents and carers.

The Committee is responsible for the employment of staff, the finances of the Pre-School and fundraising activities, reviewing policies and procedures, regularity compliance, and give support to our Manager and Administrator.  We also run a Facebook page and e-mail address for parents/carers.

The Committee is made up of parents, grandparents and carers with an interest in the continued success and smooth running of the setting.  As a parent, you have an invaluable perspective on how the Pre-School should be run and developed, and joining the Management Committee is a great way to become more involved with the Pre-School.  Or you might know a relative or friend whose professional experience could be valuable to us (please let them know about this opportunity).  Volunteering on the Committee is not only providing essential support to your child’s Pre-School, but also provides personal fulfilment, enjoyment and skills that will make a good addition to your CV.  The Committee is elected at our Annual General Meeting, which is normally held in October, but you are welcome to join us at any time of the year.

Your support, ideas and suggestions are always very much appreciated, so please do contact any of the Committee for a chat.  Contact telephone numbers for any of the Committee members are available from the Administrator or Manager at Pre-School.
